Deputy Sheriff · Country Artist · Winchester, Virginia
The Nashville Distillery is proud to recognize independent country artist and Deputy Sheriff Chris Darlington as our newest Patriot of the Month. For nearly two decades he has served his community in law enforcement while building a music career rooted in authenticity, faith, and patriotism.
Twenty Years of Service
Behind the Badge
Hailing from Winchester, Virginia — the hometown of country legend Patsy Cline — Darlington has spent nearly 20 years as a deputy with the Frederick County Sheriff's Office. He has shared the stage with Drew Baldridge, Terri Clark, Sammy Kershaw, and Frank Ray, all while continuing to serve and protect in the line of duty.
In His Own Words
I'm proud to wear the badge and proud to stand on stage, but above all, I'm thankful to God for giving me the opportunity to do both.

“Hold the Line” · 2020
The Song That Started It All
During one of the most difficult periods in recent history, Chris wrote a heartfelt ballad to encourage and uplift law enforcement officers across the country. “Hold the Line” gained national attention and put this small-town deputy on the map.
I can be in a drive-thru in my cruiser and the person in front of me will buy my meal… I'm blessed that we still live in a good community here.

New Music on the Way
Congratulations to Chris on his newest single, “What Do You Want,” now preparing for launch on country radio. His music reflects the values of small-town America and the real-life experiences he's encountered both behind the badge and on the road.
His story is a reminder that law enforcement officers bring talent, heart, and dedication to everything they do.
